[FFML] [NEWS] Re: Eternal Lost Lurker

This one hurts.

Lurk/Moth and I regularly exchanged messages over AIM when we were doing 
Improfanfic together. And when we weren't doing Improfanfic together. 
Over Tetrinet games and KawaiiMUCK (or maybe another MUCK/MUSH) and 
whatever else the game du jour was. I knew him to be many things: funny, 
brusque, supportive, sad, passionate, talented. I enjoyed his Ranma 
writing at a time where I barely knew Ranma (yes, such a time existed). 
I sometimes cringed at comments I thought toed the line between 
hilarious and super distasteful. I remember him deciding to go all in on 
DDR and playing regularly (and writing to me about it). All the feedback 
he gave me for the bits and pieces of fanfic I'd write. How much he'd go 
off on people on here for perceived offenses. I remember him.

Coincidentally, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to see how he was doing 
by doing some light Internet stalking and checked out his YouTube 
channel. Amongst all his Splatoon, Smash Bros, and FIM stuff is his last 
video, of a dog he just got, and I commented how adorable he was, and he 
liked the comment.

DementedOtaku mentioned his oldest online friend passing earlier this 
week, and it didn't even occur to me that it was Moth until this 
message.

Here's to hoping he's happy wherever he is now, free of the burdens of 
his body. Gonna miss you now.
