[FFML] The mailing list active!!!!!! shocking....

There's always the option of taking a shorter step up the tech tree rather
than jumping all the way to social media; i.e. finding a forum website that
would be amenable to having a "FFML general chatter" subforum/thread in
their Creative Writing forum. For instance, I do most of my discussion of
fanfic stuff on Spacebattles anymore, and i know a few other old-FFML folk
who hang out there as well.
