[FFML] The mailing list active!!!!!! shocking....

Well, the main thing I can think of saying about the chapter(s)... other than my overall enjoyment of them... is actually more about the concordance section.  Seeing the sheer amount of research you've ended up doing for these is always impressive, especially with how you attempt to tie in real-world details so much (even if some details are only really noticeable when they're mentioned in the concordance itself).  My own stories... at least the two that I've managed to continue beyond just 2 or 3 chapters... are set in more purely fictional settings/locations, so there's not as much ability or need to match things to RL and such.

One thing that really popped out at me, though, was your interpretation/portrayal of Luna's personality, particular the... as you worded it... "inherent conservatism and insistence on being right."  When I previously had reason to think on the topic, I had always just accepted it as being part of her base personality as having been a tutor and/or advisor.  Since most fics with similar situations (i.e. a potential ally/mentor who is not affiliated with/originated from the Moon Kingdom) tend to simply portray her as being overly paranoid or suspicious to the point of detriment, I just sort of accepted it as a detail that would potentially get overdone depending on the author/story itself, but not much more than that.  But with the consideration about how short her internal timeline would have gone from the fall of the kingdom, to being put in stasis (which did its own damage), and then waking up to find Usagi and what that would have done to her mentally...  Seeing it with the idea of her trying to convince herself that she can do the task she'd been given gives it a whole different tone which I found interesting.

That's pretty much all I can think of commenting on at the moment.  I'm looking forward, of course, to seeing how Doug's interference will change things up from the canon story, especially since he arrived so early in the plot, but other than just waiting for it to be written there's not much to do/say about it.

That being such, I'm off to reread this and the Harry Potter step.  Good night, all.

I would certainly welcome any commentary on Drunkard's Walk S, the
first two chapters of which I posted to the list four months ago.
