I realized I left something out of my notes last night.

I don't understand Nabiki's reasoning here:

Nabiki leaned forward and whispered, "Franchise."

Ukyo blinked.  Then, almost in spite of herself,
she laughed and shook her head.  "You want to go into business with me?"

Nabiki shrugged and said, "What else do we have to do when we get back?"

This may very well apply to Ukyo.  After all, her entire universe revolved 
around Ranma, and
that's no longer possible.  But Nabiki's world didn't.  She does have a life 
to go back to.  It may
have changed, but is wasn't destroyed.
