The strange thing is, I see many non (Ranma, Tenchi, Slayers, Sailor
Moon, Eva) fics being posted here. Just no C&C for them.

And that is my point exactly.  When the FFML can't even produce C&C for
anime in general, other than "the big 5,"  what's the point in allowing in
other fandoms?  So that their works can *also* be met with resounding
silence?

I think that whatever is wrong with the FFML needs to be fixed before
dragging in other fandoms to be ignored.

This is mainly the reason I waited so long to post my Rune Soldier fic.  
Even though I love the series and my brother and I wrote it over a year ago, 
I just never saw much in the way of variety here.  It's mostly Ranma, Sailor 
Moon, Naruto most recently, and the occasional Meitantei Conan from Lurker, 
and my feeling was that it would just end up overlooked.  Even when I posted 
it on ff.net, I had to get to chapter three before recieving my first review 
for any of it.

It's a real shame that there are so many really great sleeper animangas out 
there that really don't get the attention and consideration that they 
deserve from the fanfic world because so many people (I'm guilty of this 
too) are stuck writing just the old classics (R1/2, SM) or they're jumping 
right into the newer and most popular series at the time (Naruto).
