i dont understand this whole ice cream deal in the ranma 1/2 fanfictions,

why

is eating ice cream a feminine trait? do women enjoy ice cream better than
men do or something, plenty of fanfictions use this as some sort of device

or

joke or something, and while giving them the benifit of the doubt i really

dont

understand what makes ice cream so girly.

You've never actually seen Ranma 1/2, have you?

In an early episode in the series, Ranma explains to Akane that he enjoys
eating the fancy ice cream parfaits and such, but only when he's a girl,
because the desserts are "too girly" for him to be seen eating in his guy
form, and also because the waiters usually can be conned into giving him
extra for free because he does his "cute girl" thing on them.

It's a Japanese thing..."Men Don't Eat Ice Cream" (except the occasional
cone, and then only when they're out on a date with a girl or trotting a
little kid around town).
