Hearts of Ice:

it could ever get over the stigma of being a fanfic for a series

It's most unfortunate that in this day and age, new readers will most
likely skip such a series because it is based on Ranma 1/2 because they
probably have no idea what that series is about or that series is
considered way too old to appreciate :(

forget about. If you ever wanted a Ranmafic that followed Joseph
Campell's "Hero Cycle" nearly to the letter, this would be it. If
you
ever wanted a fic that had emotion and drama (unlike angstfics,
who's
only goal is to inspire you to depression), this is the one to read.
The structure and composition are so good you'd think a Professor of
English tenured 80 years had checked and rechecked it, and content
so
good (with plot twists) if it were a donut it would be a Krispy
Kreme.

That's a pretty good review ya got there, Krista :)

I do think that's some of the highest praise I've ever received. ^_^
I
just shared this with my step-kids and, while they didn't understand
the
Joseph Campell reference, they do understand everything there is to
know
about Krispy Kreme quality. They were suitably impressed. ;)

These three are 1.) no longer updated, 2.) not
talked about very much, and 3.) not readily available on the usual
sources

Can't say much about 1 & 2 at the moment. But I must be out of the
loop on
what the "usual sources" are these days. If you care to fill me in, I
shall
endeavor to make Hearts of Ice more available to the public.

Nowadays, I guess the usual source is fanfiction.net. What I'm curious
about is how many people who first got into reading fanfiction because of
fanfiction.net are aware of other sites outside said site.
