A real pleasure to re-visit this story, especially while knowing there's new
stuff coming.
"Oh, Spatula-Girl! Shampoo thought you maybe got some sense and
left for good!"
Ukyou turned with what she hoped was crushing dignity and gave
the Amazon girl a look of cold loathing. "Why is it always
'Spatula-Girl' with you? Or 'Crazy Girl,' 'Bokken Boy,' or my
personal favorite, 'Not-Nice Girl?' Are you so incredibly stupid
that you can't remember anybody's name?"
Hmm, I can't recall seeing any of these monikers before. Shampoo usually does
call people by their name in the manga. But maybe it's an anime thing.
This what I get for bein' nice.>
This is what I get
She didn't know what Akane was thinking when they were together, but Ukyou's
rival for Ranma's affection was hardly ever really at ease around her.
Just to make sure I get it: Ukyo doesn't quite know what Akane is thinking, but
she can tell Akane isn't at ease around Ukyo, correct?
She knew there was only one conclusion she could reach that would actually
sense.
make sense
(I assume)
He raised his cleaver and began to chase the small black piglet around the
restaurant, while Ranma tried to placate the outraged restaurant patrons
which were gathering in a small mob behind the Mongolian giant.

Adrenaline coursedthrough her bloodstream,
Missing space.
It's not like it was any of her business what he
did with his time, or who he was with. It's not like either of
them took this absurd engagement business seriously, after all.
Suggest: It wasn't like
He teased her about it mercilessly, as if it were something of which
she should be ashamed, but he didn't deny it.
Suggest: as if it were something she should be ashamed of
(or: as if it was - I'm not sure if this is subjunctive mood or not)
"Oh knock it off!" she scolded.
Suggest: Oh, knock it off!
"Well knock it off!"
Suggest: Well, knock it off
(strange coincidence!)^_^
"Well, he came along and challenged me, since he knew I'd clean
his clock..."
Ryouga snorted. "From what I hear, he threw the fight."
"What do you know?" Ranma snapped angrily.
Ryoga was there at the time of the fight, right? Of course, he didn't know
either that Happosai lost on purpose, until later. Still, "From what I hear"
sounds as if Ryoga only heard about the fight afterwards. Maybe he could say
something like "He obviously threw the fight" or "Don't you realise he threw
the fight?", etc.
"Now you want me to tell the story, or don't you?"
Now do you want me
Ryouga frowned. "Like... maybe I could fight it in a hot springs
or something.
in a hot spring

"Well there's gotta be some way they can make it stop huntin'
us!" Ranma exclaimed.

Said he was taking students, didn't he precious?
Suggest: didn't he, precious?
and that's all I could find. Not much at all. Takes time to re-read this, but
it's definitely worth it.
Cheers,
Elin
That said, unflipped translations are at the very least readable. So are badly timed, typo-ridden subtitles on a fifth-generation VHS bootleg. As to the question of authenticity, if it's that important, move to Japan, learn Japanese, and read it on the train...
