On occasion.
IC for getting angry, but OOC for not even thinking about
Ranma's
situation.
She often didn't think about Ranma's situation in the manga,
and honestly, there's not much reason for her to do so in this
story; there isn't a time when it would be appropriate for her to
think about it. I think you're just letting your biases get in
the way here.
I will say that she is a bit colder to Ranma than she should
be, and a bit nicer to P-chan than is normal, but otherwise, it's
about right.
Akane about 20% OOC, IMO. Nabiki is far more off. The only reason
she doesn't sound worse is she has a pretty good voice.
That's not what I was referring to. The plot-induced-stupidity
in book five that, along with other things, makes book five not
fit the rest of the books at all, is that Dumbledore KNEW in book
one that Voldemort had a link to Harry, and that Voldemort was
still alive and trying to regain his body. Despite that,
Dumbledore didn't have Harry taught Occulomancy until AFTER
Voldemort got his body back. That goes along with the HUGE
change in theme that book five featured, which is that, all of a
sudden, Dumbledore wants to protect Harry, even though for the
previous four years he had been pushing Harry along into
dangerous situations. So, it's very much plot-induced stupidity
for Dumbledore. Add to that Harry's OOCness which the reader is
slammed with from the very beginning of the book...well, the book
had a lot of good scenes, but it did NOT work with respect to the
series.
Harry is only OOC in book five if you forget the fact that he has
classic signs of combat-shock stress. He did just see a kid get
murdered, fight for his life, etc.
Harry is pureblood, as addressed above.
No. He can not trace back his family tree for generations on
both
sides. He's not directly a half-blood, but he's definitely
not a
pure-blood.
It's like what it is considered to be to be "black" as
compared
to "white" by racists. Since they are both racisms, it seems
about the same situation.
IIRC, you only need to have be 1/16th or 1/8. Think it was
1/8th.
One great-grandparent.
You're applying things here that aren't supported by the books,
as far as I know. Yes, for blacks, that is the case...but where
in the books does it say anything of the sort for blood?
Because *nowhere* in any of the books is Harry called a Pure
Blood. Not even by Ron's family, even though they are obviously
(and unashamedly) Pure Blood.
Sirius Black isn't in school. There are very few kids that
are
said to be specifically of pure-blood relation, with a large
percentage in Slytherin and Gryffindor (mostly because of the
scads of Weasleys running around.)
Check the Lexicon. And yes, Black isn't in school, but I was
just giving examples of pureblood families that are in the
series.
I was specifically talking about Hogwarts student when you
mentioned Sirius Black, is all.
Could you imagine Dumbledore getting a hold of a 20cm shroom?
Or
Happosai?
Actually, that's an obvious flaw in the story; if Happousai is
dying, why doesn't he try to find a mushroom to rejuvenate
himself?
Yeah.
