Quoting DB Sommer <sommer@3rdm.net>:
And giving back what I get:
And, as always, thank you very much!
Who Witches the Watcher?
Nice play on words
I thought so, though you're the first to comment
on it.
Contains major spoilers for the MTT OAVs; minor for
the TV series.
Hmm. I saw the licensed stuff, and am uncertain which
version I saw. Didn't know there was a difference.
The first three disks (2 eps each) are the OAVs, with
the main plot of fighting the Bell, and with the two
reporter characters. The next four disks (3-4 eps
each) are the TV series, with no reporters, numerous
additional family members, and the overall plot of
Sae's magic running around loose on its own. The main
point here is that I spoil the resolution of the OAVs,
but only refer to the events of TV series episode 1.
"I am... the Watcher.
Heh.
Can't resist him opening with his classical line!
"Oh, rats, he's wearing underwear,"
Hmm. Would she really be looking for that sort of
thing, or is it a liberty you're taking for the
of humor.
It's a bit of a stretch, but I think not a great one.
Akane is shown on several occasions to be mischievous:
claiming (so that Takeo can hear) that parading around
the women's side of the hot springs, and being peeped
on, is okay with her (it'll improve her posture); her
episode as the Wasp in the TV series. To me she's just
being mischievous here; she's doing this as much for
the way it scandalizes Sae as to see the results.
Probably can't either.
True, but a point I overlooked for humor reasons.
the teachers did their best to make sure their
attention did not stray too long.
I'm sure erasers were flung fast and furious.
and the chalk!
"We never got that one to work right!" protested
Nanaka, to no avail.
Yes, that happens to her frequently.
Heh. Mostly w.r.t. Sae, but you're right, it does,
doesn't it?
"well,"
Well
Good catch; will fix.
That night, Nanaka paced her room in worry. What
were the alien's real intentions toward Sae?
Watcher: I like... to watch.
and Peter Sellers played me in the movie!
An amusing, silly little tale. Didn't expect to see
Uatu in this. Nice appearance. I approve. Grammar was
good and flowed well.
The image of the Watcher appearing on the HS grounds
to watch Sae came to me almost a year ago, but I
couldn't get any farther on this story for the longest
time. And I still don't think the rest of the story
is as strong as the beginning. Oh well.
