This one's been in my To Read folder for almost a month now o.o Anyway...

Oh, I had a friend who took Japanese in college translate Kamiza for me, and
he came up with "Chief Seat" or "Seat of Honour". Is that what you intended?
It's possible that he is wrong, of course.

I really like this quote.

Motoko stepped out from beneath the waterfall. With almost vacant
movements she tore a strip from her sleeve and bound it over eyes
burning in emotionless fury. Retrieving her sword from it's place atop
the shrine beside the waterfall, she leapt forward.

I had a feeling it was her. I really like this so far, but I have a problem
with "burning in emotionless fury". Is fury not an emotion? It's not a big
deal, but it seems odd to say something is burning in emotionless fury.

This would be the first time I've posted here so any C&C would be
appreciated. Hope you enjoyed it.

Very interesting, and I can understand why Motoko was so negative earlier.
Though I'd need a much heavier word then negative to describe that.
Melancholy might work. You portrayed her quite well, though I can't see her
ever willingly killing her sister, unless it was something that she had to
do to uphold honour for the family in some way.

Was there a reason that she had to kill her sister?

Very beautiful writing, either way, I like this piece.
