Do Girl Scouts sell the same types of cookies outside the US?

They're a worldwide megacorporation, of course they do. :)

Actually, no. The Girl Scouts have several different bakers
scattered hither, thither, and yon. The classics--Thin Mints,
Trefoils, maybe Samoas and Tagalongs--are almost certainly sold
everywhere Girl Scouts exist, but the less popular ones differ from
place to place, even over a relatively short distance such as that
between Kentucky and Georgia.

The better question to ask is do the Girl Scouts exist in Japan? The
Boy Scouts have an international presence, but I suspect Girl Scouts
may be US only. I know Boy Scouts in Europe and elsewhere admit girls
to their ranks, whereas BSA does not, arguing (among other things)
that there is another organization filling that niche for girls.

The Girl Scouts of Japan homepage is at:
 http://www.girlscout.or.jp/
Or, for the English language version of the page:
 http://www.girlscout.or.jp/aaa/index_e.html

They used to be called Girl Guides, and sometimes are still referred to
as that.
