Haruka smiled, and placed her hand on Hotaru's shoulder. "Hotaru,
you're my daughter, of course I trust you, It's HIM that I don't
trust!" Haruka glared at Ranma as she said the last part.
"Like you trusted me last night?" replied Hotaru, in a stern tone.
David Johnston had a good point. Trust from the parental figures may be a
bit difficult at this point considering her age and condition; at least
until Ranma meets openly with them and tells all. Haruka's earlier
outburst does put her in a weak position to resist this kind of blackmail
though.
In a word, "Bingo"...
