Don't make the mistake of assuming that
Genma
is a total doofus and
that's
all there is to him. He's more
complicated
than that.
Perhaps, but he *IS* a fat, lazy moron,
martial arts skill
notwithstanding.
...Genma could in no way be mistaken for being
fat. Go read the breast
growth
arc where Ranma tries to peep on Akane and
gets
his father, instead.
Which arc? Hmm... don't remember that one,
although
it *HAS* been a while
since I've read the later volumes of the
manga... As
for fat, don't forget
that *THIS* Genma's been at home all this
time...
Even so... I was in the states a week ago on
business.
Trust me... compared to the Japanese, most
Americans are
fat. Of course there are some fat Japanese, but
not many.
The merely "big boned" or heftier people in the US
would
be the obese Japanese. So what I am saying is...
Genma is
bigger than the average Japanese male (which is
REALLY
skinny... many times skinnier than the women)...
but that
doesn't necessarily make him fat.
Perhaps, but compared to Ranma... not to
mention that there's nothing
preventing Ranma or Ranko from calling him fat, even
if he isn't by our
standards, not to mention that he *IS* a lazy
glutton...
True enough... Ranma and Ranko would have reason to. Just
something to keep in mind.
Yeah... he is lazy and a glutton.
As far as intelligence goes... I think people forget that
Ranma isn't one of the brightest bulbs out there
either...so harping on Genma for that seems a bit... As
far as aptitude for things outside of normal learning,
both excel quite well... just for things that normal
people get quite easily, they both are blind to...
It's not much intelligence that I'm referring to when I call him a
moron. It's his total lack of common sense.
