To quickkly interject into the discussion... and be gone again.. :)

 a good example of first person narritive occurs in a lot of Roger
Zelazny's writing.
 - his main characters get screwed over because although they had Godlike
powers they hardly ever know whats happening.
 They get all the *meat* when other characters interact and tell them what
the hell is going on (or, what they woud *like* the main character to
*think* is going on.
 Also, good and bad are subjective.
 the "Good Guy in a first person piece is so because to him.. of course
he's the hero.
 ditto of course the bad guy.
 a shifting perceptions piece with the *hero* and the *villan* as the eyes
and ears of the character might be interesting....

 or of course you could always do that correspondence thing...
  either espository letters within the work...
 or two actual writers in an exchange diary sort of thing so that each odd
chapter or 1/2 chapter is actually recounted by a different
author/character.
