The major problem with this piece is that it is too short,

In Soun's case, I think he wanted to be assured that one of

his daughters

would have a husband who would care for her and the dojo, and

it would

have to be someone in the same school.  In Genma's case, I'm

thinking that

he's sick and tired of being on the road, and wants a place

he knows he

can live at permanently.

and get free food.  and sleep.  and eat.  and not having to worry
about his wife.  and the food.  did i mention kasumi's cooking?
and the food he gets to eat?

Don, thanks a lot for taking the time to comment.  This

particular chapter

took me five months to write, and I'm never completely happy

with the

first draft.

woa, that's a LONG time to be writeing. and for such a short
peice too ^_^;; you know what
that means, right...

It means you are now in the running for the semi-annual Zen
awards!!  the winners will be announced sometime in the next few
years i guess...or sometime before the sun consumes the earth.

dont let real life get you down too much! (goes back to read
another 10 chapters or so of "a change of scene") cool!
