I just saw the movie, haven't read the books. Kept meaning to get them, but
they're sold out right now.

Draco smirked, and his hand slipped into the sleeve of his robe.
What might have happened was left to speculation. A long twisted
staff of wood crashed down between the two glowering boys, shocking
them out of their focus.
All eyes turned toward the figure holding the staff. She was a tall
shapely girl of about 16 years of age, standing behind her were three
children. A brown haired girl holding a pink tinged cat, a dark haired
girl of a somewhat stocky build, and a red-haired boy. They were all
about 11 years of age.
The older girl was dressed in silk robes that were not familiar to
them, but the three children were dressed in Hogwarts robes. The boy
seemed very uncomfortable in his as if he were not quite sure how to
move in the flowing garment.

Ok, they're already dressed in their robes? Are they already at station 9
3/4?

"This is a private matter," Draco snarled at the girl holding the
staff. "You would be well advised to go elsewhere."
"I think I may be the best judge of that, sonny boy," the girl said
in
a sardonic voice.
Draco face mottle with rage, and his hand darted toward the sleeve
of his robe.
"Watch out, Ron!" yelled, going for his own wand. Harry and
Hermione moved backward quickly, clearing the lines of fire. They had
learned the hard way that it was better to avoid casting multiple spells
at
a single target, without any knowledge of what their friends were
casting.
Harry's eyes widened as he saw that the red-headed boy was
moving toward Draco, a grim look on his face. Time seemed to be
moving in slow motion as he opened his voice to voice a warning. Then
things blurred, and a fraction of a second later Draco was laying on his
belly, his arm twisted straight up in the air, the small boy straddling
his
body, a grim look on his face. He turned an angry face toward the brown
haired girl. "I told you we couldn't trust wizards!"

What does Ranma have against Wizards? Annoying old ghouls seem to be the
source of most of the annoying magic in his life. Except for the one from
the mostly inanimate pools.

"Get off me you, you Muggle!" Draco swore, struggling in vain to
free himself from the much smaller boy.
"Wicked," Ron exclaimed in admiration, returning his wand to his
sleeve.
"I believe Hogwarts policy is no magic casting by students off of
school property, sonny-boy," the tall girl said. "That will be ten
demerits
from your house. Let him up now, child."
"I ain't no child!" The red-head said with a scowl, but he let go of
Draco's arm and stepped back, never taking his eyes off of Draco.
"You can't do that," Draco protested as he got to his feet. "I'll
have you on report. Assaulting a student."
"Looked like self defense to me," the girl said in an amused voice.
Not that you were much of a threat."

Curiously enough, Ranma&Cast will fit in nicely as 11 yr olds. I mean,
they're immature enough in most ways.

Draco scowled, but before he could say anything else, a huge voice
boomed out. "Here now, here now, what's going on here then?"
"Hagrid," The three friends shouted out in pleasure as the burly
black bearded half-giant walked up to the group.
"Lo, Harry, Ron, Hermione," Hagrid said, before turning to face
the staff carrying girl. He tugged a twisted forelock with his right hand,
while saying. "You'd be Mistress Cologne, The headmaster asked me to
find. He's waiting in his private car. If you'd like to come along. And
you're student's?" he said in a questioning voice, looking over at the
three children.
"That one, and that one," the girl said, using her staff to indicate
the red-head and the stocky dark haired girl. Kasumi," she said,
indicating the brown haired girl with the cat, "is a regular student. If
you
could have someone help her."
     "No way," the red-head protested.
"Kasumi stays with us!" the stocky girl said, speaking for the first
time in a fierce voice.

Now, I've only seen the movie, but isn't the train ride in for new students
something of a tradition? I mean, it wouldn't have been nothin for Hagrid
to take Harry with him to the school, but he had him take the train.

"I'll be fine, Akane, Ranma," the girl in question said in a quite
calm voice.
"That she will be," Hagrid said. "Harry here will be happy to look
after her, I mind. Ain't that so Harry?"
Harry looked a bit startled, but quickly said. "Sure, we'd be happy
to look after her on the train."
The two other children, Akane, and Ranma? Looked rebellious,
but their companion, Mistress Cologne directed a piercing look at
Harry, and more specifically, at the scar on his forehead. "You are Harry
Potter?"
"Course he is," Hagrid said. "Who else would he be but the
famous Harry Potter with that scar."
"I think we can trust Kasumi, and 'Shampoo' with such a famous
boy," Mistress Cologne said with a drawl. Ranma and Akane reluctantly
agreed to go off with Hagrid and her, but curiously, Harry somehow got
the feeling it was the 'Shampoo?' remark that made up their mind, not
his name.

Of course, why would Ranma & Akane care about any 'Harry Potter'? I guess
they're just taking Colognes word on it.

"Shampoo?" he asked in a questioning voice.
"This is Shampoo," Kasumi said, holding up the cat with the long
pink tinged fur. The cat gave Harry a look of startling intelligence, and
that was not at all friendly.
"Who is that Mistress Cologne?" Ron asked. Why does she have
students? She's too young."
"Yes, besides, not even the teachers at Hogwarts have individual
students."
"Grandmother Cologne wouldn't come to teach at Hogwarts unless
she was allowed to bring Ranma as his student. And Akane wouldn't let
Ranma come by himself."
     "Grandmother?" Ron asked incredulously. Her?"
"Oh yes. Grandmother Cologne is nearly three hundred years old,"
Kasumi said with perfect sincerity.
"What I want to know, is why that boy said what he did about not
trusting wizards. He's a wizard isn't he."
     "Oh no, Ranma's not a wizard. He's a hero."

Does that mean no Ranma playing Quidlich? I wonder what position he'd be
in. I'd think that Ranma, properly motivated (you want a cure, right? Your
curse can only be cured by yourself. So you're going to have to learn
magic.)
