<< I was thinking maybe using Ranma, BGC, Guyver, and a few
others. I don't know about Sailor Moon, since someone else is doing an
SM/Terminator bit. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas or wants to help,
I'd be glad to hear from you. >>
Not an easy concept to work with. The light hearted series like Ranma
don't
mix well at all. BGC is good. The Knight Sabers will walk all over the
T-101s but the T-1000s are like nothing they've seen. Guyver just out
powers
them. I would suggest Dominion: Tank Police, Armitage, and PatLabor as
good
series to try, but use caution with that last one.
BGC: They have too seen stuff sorta like the T-1000's. What about the
merging boomers? The ones that start integrating themselves into objects
they contact? They'd take a while, but they'd blow it up a bit, get away
from it (it isn't faster than a car in reverse), then come back with
different weapons. Like the equivalent to the boomer's chest heat beams.
Dominion: Tank Police: This'd be fun! Having the police run around in
tanks would make for a bad day for T-101s. T-1000? Again, the higher
general tech level would make handling them easier. Bonaparte would have
fun skeet shooting T-101s. T-1000's are slowed by shotgun slugs, how'd they
handle tank rounds? Each shot would cost them some mass. Add in the
bacterial cloud.
Armitage: Are you serious? T-101's would get slaughtered. T-1000 would be
more difficult, but still...
PatLabor: The terminators would have some difficulty here. The general
availability of large robots make's the terminators good points (tough, no
morals) less of a factor. After all, a labor bullet would take out a T-101,
and make the 1000 go splat. For a little while, at least. I see them
getting hot napalm rounds. Or maybe freezing. Sure, the terminator could
drive a patlabor, but what's the use? They're only on equal terms then.
Just pity the poor cops sent to get the terminator out of the wrecked
labor...
NukuNuku: Nuku'd 'play' with them. Life (pretty much) as normal.
Ghost in the Shell: Skyone would have competition. At least the GtS AI
hasn't decided, that I know of, that humanity needs killing off.
The other thing is, remember, the movie T-1000 was a prototype. We don't
know if it has any special weaknesses to stuff that could be found/exploited
in a higher-tech society. Like how would it react to an EMP gun? What
happens if you microwave it? Add in that it's probably very expensive to
make the material of a T-1000, and you won't have many of them. It's an
assassin, not a pure war machine.
