This wish is being used by Momonari Junta, after he finds out that he IS fated to remain a megaplayboy, and finds out what sort of things happens to his children.  (Which isn't pretty, considering that Karin's time eventually wants to prevent their being born.  Public hysteria about megaplayboys and girls tended to result in Junta's children getting lynched, mangled, and killed.  Those kids that avoided that fate often wound up turning criminal in a world that hates them for who their ancestor was.)

I'm writing a large part of my fic from the point of view of Junta, because I think he's a pretty sympathetic character, trying to cope with weirdness.

    When I turned to look at Urd, it was like looking at an entirely different
being than I had seen before.  Before, she had seemed sensual and playful,
perhaps even mischievous, but now she looked far more dignified, even regal.
At that moment, I had absolutely no doubt that I was looking at a goddess with
a purpose.  She was floating several centimeters above the floor, her hair and
gown flowing in an unfelt breeze, glowing gently with an internal force.  She
looked at me, and I could feel her attention weighing me without judgement.
"Your wish is decided?"

    I swallowed my heart, and nodded.  "It is."

    The radiance around her increased as she said, "The time has come.  State
your wish."

    I swallowed again, took a deep breath, and committed myself.  "If my fate
is to be a megaplayboy, I want my children raised and treated well, so I wish
for my descendants, as well as myself, to be of significant, acknowledged,
rewarded and lasting benefit to mankind for several generations, regardless of
what interests we pursue."

Since he knows that his fate IS to be a megaplayboy, the operative portion of the wish starts with I WISH.  He lumps himself in with his descendents, and does not specify the way in which they're to be of benefit to mankind.  (I have the specifics in mind, but I'd LOVE to here what other authors would make of this wish.)
