Not a lot to say here.... The storyline's interesting, though I'd like to
get a
better idea of what the deal was between Amy and Susy and why the former
had to
go inside her cave. As I've pointed out, I think you could be clearer
about the
characters' feelings and motivations in some spots, and a little more
description of this would give us a better feel for the story without
requiring
a lot of exposition and backstory.
I have no idea how the myth works in this story, but in the origional
story, Susano and his sister Amaterasu got into an argument, decided to hold
a contest , and when Susano won, he got a bit carried away in his victory
celebration and threw a skined horse into Amaterasu's sewing room. In
response, Amaterasu went into a cave to sulk, the sun went out, and the gods
eventually tricked her out by staging a loud party just outside the cave.
In response Susano was banished to japan, where he wandered, and killed the
Orochi. He later made peace with his sister, and gave her the sword he had
found inside the Orochi's tail. She gave it to her. . . I think it was her
son or her nephiew, anyways she gave it to the first emperor of Japan, as
one of the three symbols of his authority.
