Threadban. Take it to private, people. Pre-emptive action before
it totally devolves into flame? Yes, why not-- it's practically there
already, and I'd rather ban threads than people-- it's less work for
me.
Wow, you know, I was thinking, "Oh yeah, I'll leave it until morning,
see what happens then-- maybe I'll luck out and people won't be
continuing this, or if they do, do it privately."
Okay, so I'm not really all that niave as to actually believe that, but
I do so like to give the benefit of the doubt once in a while,
especially when I'm in a good mood, which I am, or was, at any rate.
I hate it when I'm thrust out of a good mood like that. Here I was,
getting a nice groove on, letting the ideas juice out, and phffft!
Fantoosh! It's gone.
Of course, being one of the list admins gives me the ability to stop
this annoyance, and also to complain about it at the same time, like
I'm currently doing. This puts me in a good mood, so all's right
again. Huzzah!
Seems to me the whole issue could be avoided if one just used some
common courtesy and tried asking the original author if one could
write it. Now, please use some of this allegedly common courtesy to
take it private, if you must talk about it at all, yes?
