Yep, it's been a while since I actually posted something to the mailing list.
Might as well let you all know how things are going on my side of the
computer sreen.
Muse: [sarcastic] Your benevolence is overwhelming. Truly, I'm moved to
tears by such an act of pure kindness and generosity.
...anyways, on to the fanfic updates.
Kasumi 1/2, Chapter 6- Methinks this one is going hot, and quickly. Days
after releasing Chapter 5, I've received many comments on the story, plus
several inquiries on when will I release Chapter 6. Well, I really don't
have a set time, though I'm trying to aim for before Christmas (my gift to
the readers of the series ^_^). I am writing it now as I speak, so the
series will go on, if a little slow. This year hasn't been exactly kind to
me; to be blunt, it's been pretty shitty, particularly in the personal life
area, of which I've already discussed one of the biggies.
One Man, Six Wives-Yes, the chapter is being continued; in fact, it's almost
done, rough draft-wise. After some feedback on the "finished" product, then
we shall see on a true continuation of the "different" first day at the Tendo
household.
Speaking of continuing, that leads me up to a teensy-weensy question...
A Twisted Fate-Well, this one's going to be a bit hard to explain. As some
of you are aware, I have a computer that I swear on a stack of Bibles is
possessed by some funky technodemon (not to be confused with the Technocrats
of Mage: The Ascension lore). One day, I was working on ATF, and burning up
a considerable amount of time working feverishly at ths story. In the end, I
think I had accumulated about three-four pages worth of work when suddenly
the evil spawn of Bill Gates and this year's election chaos in Florida (which
should never have happened in the first place, but I won't go there now; if
you really want to know what I think, email me) decided that it was bored, so
it pulled a Lain on me.
RESET
Self-reset. And before I could save it, too. I had to kick myself for that.
Needless to say, that hurt a lot.
Well, anyway, back to the subject at hand, I noticed something that kind of
alarmed me. People were asking me about when will the next installment of
Kasumi 1/2 come out. People have asked me on the status of OMSW, and I know
that's only limited to the FFML list.
No one has yet to ask me about ATF, except my pre-reader. It's been quite a
few months since I can recall someone asking about it, so I wanted to know
what's up with that? Is it getting boring? Cliched? Rather read Kasumi 1/2?
What is it?
I guess is on the latter, that Kasumi is a much bigger read storywise and
contentwise. That's something I can live with, so I could just set it aside
on the backburner for now. If that's not it, then... I don't know. I really
don't want to just up and stop writing ATF, as I do have some great ideas for
the later chapters (even have the basic idea how it would all end, too), but
if it's not really getting much in the way of readers, then I'll probably
have to pull a Dreiser and close it out at Chapter 4.
Other stuff- I've had a scattering of story ideas and such, though none of
them are very well developed.
Some possible storylines include a Ranma/Mahou Tsukai Tai crossover where
Genma dies at Jusenkyou, and the only lead he has as to what to do next is
his old address book which has the address of Genma's sister. He lands at
the Sawanoguchi residence where he meets his cousins Saki and Sae. After the
funeral services had been set up, Ranma somehow enrolls into Kitanohashi High
School, and is talked into joining the Magic Club (mainly because they might
have a way to cure him of his girl curse). Of course, the Bell is beginning
to mobilize, and well... oh how he is going to wish to be at Furinken.
Another idea I've toyed with was a Parasite Eve/Ranma crossover (when you
think about it, it would explain a lot about Ranma). It takes place before
PE2 (thank God), and so far, Ranma's mitochondria is "talking" to him, trying
to bring he and Aya together because a new evolution of mitochondria brings
forth another harbinger of its era, and this one must be put down as soon as
possible.
Well, that's the end of this letter. I'll try to get something out shortly.
In the meanwhile, keep on reading.
