I'd like to read more of the type. I think the reason 'Posion' hurt so much
to read was becasue it was so plausible, but after the Saffron battle, how
could
Akane reject a man who fights gods for her, just because of his ancestry?
My problem with Poison is that Akane seemed to be a bit too 'Kasumi'-ish,
IMHO. In spite of everything that happened over the course of the year, she
seemed to acquiesce in breaking the engagement with way too little protest,
the occasional twinge of silent guilt aside. Lord Archive-sensei said that
the characterization was that of the anime-Akane, who seems to be more
sensitive to how others think of her, than the magna-Akane. I dunno if I buy
that. I think she'd at least rail and protest vehemently against the
injustice and stupidity of it all, before submitting to her family's wishes,
a'la the prologue to A Village Tale, IF she decided it would be best to
abandon Ranma.
Thanks for your time and tolerance,
