WOAH! That was litrially the only thing I could say about the fic for more
than half an hour. In fact, I was full well prepared to send in that one line tp
sum up my thoughts, but as apt and as well as that would have described the fic,
I chose not to. Now here's exactly what my thoughts are.
You can still feel the adrenaline flow. That feeling of, �Holy s***!� And it
wasn�t because of Eva 00 blowing or the Third Impact. This fic sends an
immediate message. Rei is one bad mother f�er. This is one devil with a cause.
There's an aura about her, an attitude fit for today�s world. And the conviction
that she would rip someone's arm off to create her own share of havoc. You want
to talk about absolute terror, read this fic.
-The opening makes next to no sense until the end, where...heh, I won't
spoil it for you if you haven't read it.
-Anyone seen the movie Species? Looking through the fic again, it seemed
like I was reading the novel to Species, and that alone makes Rei something she
really isn't a lot of the time; scary.
-I'm guessing the accident that Rei had made her part of who...or what she
is.
-Rei is the badass here, she's simply da bomb. You know some people can
chokeslam someone their weight with one arm, Rei could probably chokeslam a sumo
wrestler. Funny how she tried to do the same thing to Shinji (and failed).
Travis mentioned how the Undertaker returning to the WWF was something
reminicent of Rei in this fic.
-Rei ain't into toys, although I'd bet that she was hanging out for a go
with the Eva.
-Oh, boy, Gendou's the f'n hero ain't he? Ah, he ain't that bad. Akagi's
worse.
-Rei was bored at school so I have to wonder; deep down, beneath what she
was forced to become, I wonder what she thought of school when she was fourteen.
-'The human mind is formed by experience.' Ah, you got that. Why do you
think Dave Grossman cites violent video games as being responsible for
Jonesboro?
-War on the mind. I know a lot about that. I say the military can kiss my
a@@, they don't give a damn.
-Do these so called 'mind soldiers' strike anyone as something like the
scientists that would have created the bio-weapons in Resident Evil?
-I sure hope that it wasn't Maya who had anything to do with this. It's not
her style, but then again, how many people think that Rebecca Chambers works for
Umbrella? A lot (I don't, but a lot).
-When Rei is undergoing her new 'education,' I just had to think 'WILL
SOMEBODY STOP THE DAMN FIC?! ENOUGH'S ENOUGH!' I don't know how other people
felf about what was happening, but it was a gruesome look at what Rei's been
through and is done quite well.
There's a lot more that I want to say about the fic, but really you have to
read it for yourself. The impact of Rei here is unforgettable. Blood, sweat,
tears, psychology, the art of screwing with one�s soul: she is the master of
them all. Exactly what Rei will do next is immeasurable, her motives remain
unclear. But if this fic has revealed anything, it�s that only a deluded fool
would mess with Rei, a bad mother f�er straight from hell. All in all a very
good fic. Now there's two things I want done. First of all, what I'd like to see
is a fic where the reverse happens, where the walls are brought down, might
write it myself if I can do something about this case of fatigue. Secondly, try
and get Anno's Email address and send this fic to him, I'm sure it would be
something that would hit close to what Anno had in mind. Right now though I have
things to do and people to see, so I'll see you all later.
