Title Summary:
This story takes place between the time the SDF-3 (along with Rick
Hunter and Lisa Hayes) departs for the homeworld of the Robotech Masters
and the rise of the Army of the Southern Cross. The world government is
in shambles, militaristic city-states are popping up all over, and the
few remaining RDF forces are trying desperately to keep things under
control. Into this mess comes Colonel J.E.B. Stuart, a veteran of 20
years who only wants to retire. Before he can do that, General Emerson
has one more thing for him to do - raise and train a desperately needed
squadron.
Episode Summary:
The Fox sisters discover how much they have in common with Colonel
Stuart. Col. Stuart, Ona, and Daisy 'rescue' Missy from the clutches of
the GMP. Samantha is faced with an old rival who joins the squadron but
harbors a secret.
...you know, I'm getting worried that this cast is going to get too big to
keep track of all at once. ...well, then again, that might just be me. But
this is a solid installment of a solid series, with great scene-setting and
good characterization all through. I recommend it.

Title Summary:
In an alternate reality, Ranma and Akane are present in Macross when the
SDF-1 first comes to Earth. Back in Nerima, Akane feeds Ranma with one
of her most special recipes, and he suffers the consequences. Some time
later, Akane dies at the hands of Saffron. Haunted by memories, Ranma
leaves Nerima trying to forget about that part of his life. Years
later, he decides to return to the SDF-1 to cut off one of the last
links to Akane. The Launch Day arrives, and Ranma suddenly finds
himself deeply involved in the First Robotech War.
Episode Summary:
The Zentraedi found the SDF-1, and the war continues. Ranma is forced
to confront his past, when Roy asks him to join the RDF. And, in the
worst possible moment, the attack begins, and Gloval is forced to use
the main gun. The modular transformation, however, may have dire
consequences for our favorite pig-tailed martial artist.
Hmm. The Roy/Ranma scene feels a little bit... awkward, like they're each
carrying half of a differently-themed conversation. And the introspection
scene in the park and its aftermath feel a little... sudden, I suppose, and
Ranma's final somewhat triumphant phrase seems _very_ off. I don't know
anybody who'd shout to the world in proper English. ...and after six
episodes, finally we start the main plot arc. ...I think. I'm not sure if
everything that came before was strictly necessary or not.

Title Summary:
In the darkest hour, a light from heaven brings new hope. Mankind's
once-bleak future now offers a glimmer of promise. Yet humanity's
protectors must battle not only the angels from above, but also dark
forces from within. An ancient evil seeks to use their greatest hope as
its key to power. Unless the Evangelion pilots can use their own inner
strength to defeat the overwhelming odds, all will be destroyed. Can
mankind survive the ascent of the fallen?
Episode Summary:
Destruction in the skies heralds the coming of the end on earth. The
children seek strength in each other as Gendo sets his final plans into
motion. As the past is uncovered, the future is determined by a single
sacrifice...
One of the toughest parts of rewriting something is that the furor and
desire for exploration that powered the earlier parts fades, somewhat. I
honestly can't pick out what's original and what's new material here, even
though I read the original - that speaks of some nice effort done in
maintaining scene consistency. Nice to see you actually foreshadowing the
final confrontation a little bit - some very good vague unsettling images,
and explicit ones too. Great Gendo-Kozuou scene near the end, and the final
bits of this chapter build up some _great_ suspense and unanswered
questions. Keep it up, man.

Summary:
A Pretty Sammy spin-off, starring Achika as Tsunami's magical girl.
You know, never having had experience with canon Achika, I am at a loss to
the specific components of her personality. I do not, however, believe
cynicism featured heavily among them. Again, I could be wrong, but if you
could tone that particular quality down a few hairs, you'd have a better
story. The rest, I can honestly see nothing wrong with.

Title Summary:
Strange forces are at work in the cosmos. Players from all over move
begin to move together, like pieces on a chess board; and even the
masters of the game will have to play the role set for them by masters
higher still. Will the final outcome be salvation or obliteration for
the cosmos?
In Tenchi's hands lie the key to either, but soon he will find that this
is a burden that is not his alone... and never has been.
Episode Summary:
The Galaxy Police have intercepted a ship containing refugees from the
Youma empire, and judging by their condition, it seems the Youma empire
is no more. Kiyone Makibi has been ordered to investigate this
situation, which could be far more dangerous than anyone realizes.
Ordered to go alone, heh, not if Seion Makibi has anything to say on the
subject.
Hmm... you know, the little introductory monologue/narration/whatever really
doesn't add much of anything to the story. You should probably just cut it.
And the whole "checking the luggage" scene seems a bit... awkward. I realize
that, perhaps, you'll need to use some of the stuff for story purposes
later, but the description seems to be forced into the story. What your
reader will likely take from this is that Kiyone is leaving to investigate a
planet and a people whose patron goddess bears an odd resemblance to her;
everything else is so much window dressing. There are more places than the
ones I've listed that overbearing description got in the way of the story; I
suggest you prune.

...gee, not much of a part. One scene. Trying to restart this? This doesn't
really do much for the plot, just takes a character who really wasn't in it
out of it for the duration... well, there's not really much more I can say
besides that.

This is a very nice little slice-of-life piece. As much as I may not approve
of The Tenchi Formula, when it doesn't explicitly show up, the characters
are rather enjoyable. This is some very good writing, and I am looking
forward to future parts.

Summary:
Happosai and Mousse are fed up and hatch a plot to get their revenges.
It involves drugged spaghetti, a party at the Tendo Dojo, and the record
'Addicted to Love'. The end result is a wild orgy in the dojo that none
of them remember when they wake up! Of course a video was taken of the
events by Mousse. That's not the only thing though - those herbs in the
spaghetti do more than just induce lust...
Author's Note:
Continuation of the Bet entry, Addicted.
...what can I really say about something that's one big lemon setup from the
get-go? ...well, actually, it does deal with a couple of things that any
on-beyond-38 story would have to, and, assuming initial conditions, it's a
reasonable propogation of events. Though those initial conditions make a lot
of conflict resolution a little _too_ convenient, I don't suppose much can
be done to change that.

Ranma has broken his engagement to Akane... and an accident leaves him

The whole series is a decent effort, I'll give you that, at perhaps
attempting to recapture some Ranma flavor while keeping the plot going. Some
things are done right - Razor, for example, is a Takahashi-worthy new
character. Other things are... well... not. I'm probably not the only person
who's let you know that aggressive != assertive, and the fact that so much
of your plot hinges on that leaves a rather sour taste in my mouth. The
premise is good, but I find the execution somewhat lacking.

...hmm. It _is_ an interesting concept, I'll grant, but I'm afraid I'll have
to echo some earlier commentary that Genma developed the Umisenken and
Yamasenken and still knows the both of them like the back of his hand. Paw.
Whatever. Genma probably would actually enjoy this - maybe have him wander
away and start playing with a tire in the middle of Soun's monologue, or
actions to that effect; no prison can hold an Anything Goes Thief for long.

Summary:
This story begins just after the Magic Mushroom story in vol. 33 of the
manga. Ranma and Ryoga are stuck as kids after the last mushrooms are
destroyed. Now they have to deal with it until they find a cure. They
attempt to get advice on this from Cologne, but first they have to get
by an irate Mousse...
Author's Note:
The Prolouge is under 'The Adventures of Chibi Ranma and Ryoga' but
someone else beat me to the title.
This is... light comedy, with occasional adorable bits. Not much in the way
of substance yet, but then, of course, there doesn't _have_ to be. Don't let
this drag on _too_ long - none of the jokes are getting tired this early,
but it's important to keep your comedy fresh.

Note:
The subject header of the post reads: "[FFML] [Ranma] Let the Curtain
Fall, Chapter Four: The Nature of the Beast (draft)".
Boy. I gotta say this is pretty impressive stuff. Why
Ranma-battles-the-supernatural seems to do so well is a bit of a mystery to
me - mmm, perhaps not so much given his frequent encounters with them in the
manga, but the DARK supernatural is also a surprisingly fitting home for the
characters. Nice introduction to an as-yet-shadow-cloaked new character, and
a _great_ endpiece that only sets up for more mayhem in the chapters to
come. I'm looking forward to it.
So when are you going to pic up "Choices" again? ::duckandrun::

And the plot plants one foot and swivels around to dash off in yet another
direction. Or something. Anyway, not much going on story-wise here - the
character interaction is excellent, certainly, and it's a strength in your
writing but... well, again, this is a chapter I could skip and not lose

...you know, I really don't buy the backstory. The plot so far is good, the
action scenes impressive, and the characters well-realized and well-placed,
but... well, I can't say anything if you're working from Sailormoon manga
continuity, but I find it hard to believe that a woman who pulled her own
heart out for a _chance_ to save someone and who refused to kill the
embodiment of all evil would make the decisions she does here.

Wow. The relationship problems of a Ranma fic and the excellent action I've
come to expect from you and your war stories. ...the mech scene is a little
_too_ technical in places, like when Ranma's plotting the missile burst, and
that drags a bit on the action for non-mech/war fans like yours truly. But
the overall effect is definitely something to be proud of - keep up the good
work, Mr. Wilde.
