Heh. I know the feeling. Suddenly you're going "Free time? What's that?"

Title: Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot Chapter 1
Genre: crossover

Everybody's favorite incidental mass murderers encounter a force that is
as vicious as they are. And a portion of Kei's past is revealed as she
calls upon an old friend to help them out.

Whoo. Starts out wacky, gets creepy,

The moods I was going for at those points.

then outright Doom-on-acid gory,

Hmm. Didn't think I was being that grusome. Though part of that was
probably because I was describing the aftermath of Zeiram's little tour of
the space station rather than the actual actions that brought it about.

 then
back to sort-of-wacky again.

Well, once you stop tripping over the dead bodies, things were bound to
seem brighter. :)

Nice and smoothly varying tone, excellent
scene-setting and descriptions...

Thanks. I'm trying to work on improving the scene descriptions. Still the
weakest part of my my writing, IMO.

alien horrors tend to defy them most
times... great action, great conversation, and quite the interesting
premise, all told.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the pace and balance of things.

Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Work is coming along slowly but surely on it. (as with most of my things.)
Finally caught up a bit on my backlog of fics to C+C, so now I'm going back
to writing for a little while, at least. Hopefully will have something to
post in the next few days or so.

Thanks for the comments.
