Getsumkii sighed as he prepared to intervene and save
Genma's life for the fortieth time that day.
Being the Angel who watched over fools and idiots and
protected them from their own Folly, used to be an easy job.
It would only take about twenty or thirty minutes of work a
day and was used a sinecure for Angels who weren't quite
ready to retire but were weren't quite up to a difficult
job.
However since Genma was born, it had gotten noticeably
harder every day. The only time he had had a break was when
Genma had gotten married and gone for a honeymoon. His wife
had kept him too busy to have time to do any thing stupid.
One, six month vacation in twenty-four years.
Then had come that horrible day, when Genma decided to train
his son in Martial Arts. Since then he hadn't been able to
relax for five minutes.
It had gotten so bad he hadn't had time to check on anyone
else and he had been forced to hire assistants to watch
over the fools on the rest of the world. Fortunately three
of them Larry, Moe and Joe were outstanding workers, so he
had faith in their ability to save the Earth from the
politicians.
Oh no, Genma had decided to steal another meal, this time
from the world-wide convention of Police, Sheriffs and
Bounty Hunters.
"Only four hundred years and I can retire and Genma will be
someone else's problem." Getsumkii muttered.

If violence is not solving your
problems you're just not using enough of it.

"I guess I'm just an old-fashioned sentimentalist at heart.
I refuse
to accept a no-win scenario. I hate the thought of a
universe without
justice. If the maneuverings of dark powers can't be
exposed and
defeated by the pure of heart, then there's no point in
anything. I
 can't believe that."
