Note: I'm mixing things from Anime and Manga to accommodate the story, so don't
argue.

Umi didn't know what was happening. Shortly after being called to Cephiro, some
strange energy had taken Hikaru and Mokona away from them, then, the same thing
happened to her and Fuu. She had floated in 'limbo' -as she called it- for about
an hour, worried to death about her friends.
Now, she was slowly floating into a crack in the 'limbo'. Probably a gate to
another world.
As she was sucked into the crack, she couldn't help but wonder about her friends
just before everything turned black.

Hyunkel cursed for the fourth time in less than a minute. He was already sporting
several gashes and his armor wasn't in such a great condition.
He grunted as he extended his left arm forward, palm facing forth, and rested his
sword between his thumb and his index finger.
"BLOODY SUKURAIDO!" The blade seemed to twirl in his hand as he pushed it forward
towards Rafaruto, who blocked and opened Hyunkel's guard with his spear, then hit
him in the stomach.
Hyunkel gasped and stepped back a couple of steps, watching the dragon warrior
carefully.

Cool air snapped Umi out of unconsciousness for a few seconds, she was able to
make out a clear blue sky.
'So much like Cephiro... maybe...'
Darkness claimed her again.
But her appearance hadn't gone unnoticed.
A giant form appeared infront of a seemingly floating Umi.
"How can this be?" Asked a female voice out of no-where. "Yet another?"
There was silence for a moment. "Yet, this one is not one of my creations, but
the feeling inside of her... the power... it's definitely very familiar. She's
human... and one of my own... but how?"
The voice was silent as it pondered the possibilities. "She's only missing
monster blood, but she might help my misguided son and his progeny to achieve
the destiny they were created for... just... maybe. We shall see."

"Why do you hate humans so much, Rafaruto!?"
The dragon warrior looked at Hyunkel, the links in his
armor clicking softly, and coughed blood.
"I'm, a monster-human metis. My father died when I was a child, and my
mother had to take care of me, when I was seven, the war between Hadora and
the humans started. My mother and I were persecuted by hateful humans
because I'm a monster, she died shortly of a disease. Baran was the only one
who understood my pain!"
Hyunkel and Poppu looked at the dragon warrior with pity, then Hyunkel stepped
forward, and placed a hand on Rafaruto's shoulder.
"I will help Fly... and Baran, Rafaruto. I know the pain they have been through.
I promise you that."

Poppu and Hyunkel (carrying Rafaruto's spear) ran to where they could feel
Baran's power. They just prayed that Krokodin and the others would be able to
stop him until they arrived.
As they ran by the lake where the Dragon Temple used to be, Poppu noticed
something in the sky.
"Hyunkel! What's that!?"
Hyunkel slid to a stop next to Poppu and looked in the direction the young mage
was pointing.
His keen eyes recognized the small spot falling towards the lake as a young girl,
seemingly unconscious. He told as much to Poppu.
"What?! LULA!" Poppu teletransported just under the girl with long blue hair, he
quickly grabbed her waist as they both fell. "Toberura!"
The girl moaned and looked at him for a moment, before closing her eyes again.
With the flight spell in effect, Poppu flew down and followed Hyunkel, they
didn't risk any more delays, they could feel Baran fighting the others, and
they weren't winning.
As they approached they could see Krokodin in the receiving end of Baran's third
Giga Brake. The giant lizard-man, unable to stand up after such a battle, had
already fallen to his knees, Princess Leona watching helplessly.

Umi awoke to the sounds of fighting. A strange girl was just taking her hands of
her head. Umi looked past her and saw a familiar boy, the one she'd thought she
had dreamed about when she'd dreamed that he'd rescued her from falling into a
lake.
The boy was running towards a strange creature with leathery wings, horns and
all kind of spikes covering his human body. 'Ugly' didn't begin to describe it.
The creature tried to hit the boy, but he jumped out of the way and grabbed the
monster by it's neck.
He then turned to look at a confused-looking boy and shouted.
"FLY! IF YOU DON'T WAKE UP NOW I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!"
She was able to notice the shocked looks of the other people present, as the boy
shouted with all his might.
"MEGANTE!!!"
Both, the monster and the boy were consumed in light before Umi's eyes, as the
now-not-so-confused-looking-boy shouted suddenly. "POPPU!! NO!!"
Just then the effects of the explosion were felt as wind almost threw everyone
present away, lifting dust and rocks.
When the light receded, the monster was flying with Poppu's body in it's arms.
With a casual gesture, Baran threw Poppu's lifeless body to the ground.
Without a word, the monster began glowing again, pointing a hand at Poppu's
body with the obvious intention of destroying it.
Umi couldn't let that happen. She knew that somehow Poppu had saved her from
her fall, she wouldn't let that monster desecrate his body!
"ICE BLADE!"
