Folks, a few moments ago as I write this, at
about 5:35 my time, Bob Schroek called me on the
phone. His computer ate itself alive during a bootup.
He's lost about half of his C: drive, and Scandisk
took hours just to fix the damage.
He hasn't lost anything permanantly, aside
from some temp files, but it's going to take him
about two or three days at the least to rebuild his
system from backups.
So, he asked me to let everyone know that he's
down for a while, and can't send or read email. WE
can still send to him, he just can't read anything
until he's back up again.
He did say that we shouldn't worry, and that
his fic, Drunkard's Walk II, is still on track.
That's about it, and let's all send good
wishes his way that his system will come back up
again with no significant problems, okay?
