"Father! I mean, I..." And then Asuka leaned
over and very softly kissed Shinji on the lips. They
stayed like that for several moments until Asuka broke
contact with him.
Shinji could only stare back at her in
surprise, the dark glasses slipping down his nose.
Head bowed with a blush dotting her cheeks,
Asuka took a deep breath and told him, "I love you."
Shinji's eyes immediately bugged out.
O_O. I really wasn't expecting that. In fact, I still don't totally
understand this. Was this whole roleplaying activity done so that Asuka
could tell Shinji about her love? Or is it a way for Asuka to practise
showing her love for Commander Ikari? Did she want Shinji acting like a man
before she could 'fess up? Or is it all a nefarious scheme of Asuka's to
drive Shinji insane? ^_^;;
Well, anyway I'd have to say, good job. Quite entertaining and satisfyingly
long. Although I have to say that Misato leaving the children to their own
devices seemed a bit ... I don't know, contrived? I can't really see that
she'd let herself just leave them like that or be allowed to do it (although
maybe since all of them were spying anyway they'd let her - but Misato
didn't know that did she?).
