I wonder if Nodoka would allow Akane to be cured.?
If there were a cure, and Akane wanted to be cured, then Nodoka (at least
in my story) would probably have no reason to stand in her way.
Okay, fair enough. Unfortunately, I don't think Ranma's convinced of that.
Nodoka seems to
behave like a True Believer in a very aggressive church.
When you've been brought up one way, beleiving that you are right and
everyone else is wrong, it's hard to change your mind. Gotta start feelin'
the fire before the mind starts to look elsewhere. Heh...
Well, the rejection of both vampires in general and her in particular by her son
may be the incentive she needs to re-evaluate a few things.
Incidentally, why is Ranma so dead ( so to speak ) set against
Vampires.
Boy, he does seem unnaturally deadset against anything vampiric, doesn't he?
^_^
As others mentioned, maybe Genma was a factor in that. He was dead set on
keeping Ranma away from Nodoka for 10 years. Right now, to be blunt, his
actions cannot be trusted as being what he would do on his own.
I think this is also a part of Ranma's distrust of vampires... you just can't be
sure thoughts aren't being controlled when they're involved. Even when they're
not doing anything, there is always that suspicion.
Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, this is a very good read... otherwise, I
probably wouldn't be spending so much time discussing it. Keep it up!
