I just recently finished reading through the 'Ranma's Secret' series, which
goes through to 'A Matter of Romantic Chemistry', which is still in the
middle of production.
It's an enjoyable read, but one that's even harsher than I am on the
parents, particularly Soun. At some points it reads like a soap opera, but,
on the whole, is very entertaining. It's a laugher, that's for sure.
BTW, I beleive that Konatu's family name is 'Kenzen'. ^_^

If I were writing the story, the one thing I would change is the storyline
between Tofu and Kasumi. I like what is happening between Ranko and Tofu,
but I'm not really intersted in what's going on with Tarou and Kasumi,
since they're not really anywhere near the focus of the story. Having
animosity between Kasumi and Tofu is really kind of pointless IMHO, since
Tofu's long trip in the story would serve about the same purpose and
eliminate a side plot (Tofu's Kasumi induced epileptic seizures)that
distracts from the main plot rather than adds to it. They've obviously
grown away from what ever they had, and are interested in moving on to
different things. Giving Tofu a scene in which Kasumi simply just quits
affecting him, would, IMO, do everything the other scenes do, and would be
all the more poignant.
