Re: [EVA] Herz 8 "House of Spirits"
by Toh Ee Loong (teloong@cwcom.net)
Comments: In the tradition of the Birth of Nerv episode of the original
Eva, we are given a good look at the inner workings of Herz, and the
plotting of both sides. I especially like the way the USA is portrayed
in this fic, it seems to hit our national character head on. Characters
are all quite IC, considering the time that has passed between the
original series and the 'present' day. One gripe: Misato and company
seem to have read a bit too much of Gendo's "How to be A Bastard"
handbook.

by Chaz (guyveriv@hi-net.ne.jp)
Comments: An interesting SI, revolving around an Ex-airforce officer who
is transported to the BGC world and turned into a combat boomer. The
characters are relitively IC, with the exception of Priss who seems a
little to attatched to Chaz. The pheromone generator is an interesting
touch, but the all powerful SI phenomena could be looming on the
horizon.
Formatting could use some tweaking.

Comments: An interesting crossover, with good character consistency. I
like this alot, though there are some formatting issues that could be
cleaned up. Xellos needs to meet with Gendo at some point in the future

Comments: Good formatting, good characters and interesting premise.
Gendo is an ulimate bastard, and he's teaching his son some of his
tricks. I like this idea, and I think its being handled well. The use of
Shinji's guilt over his mother is the perfect tool to control him.
Shinji's reactions to his fellow pilots and NERV employees are
fascinating.
