Too many fusions I've read simply take the author's favorite characters
and place them in the familiar situations where they say the same familiar
lines.
If you're going to do that, why not acknowledge as much and skip over the
common ground so you can get down to your story?
Like so:
Newly engaged Tatewaki Kuno and Akane Tendo were on their way to see his
father when Tatewaki's car suffered a flat tire in the rain. They sought
refuge in a nearby castle and were greeted at the door by Mousse and his
sister Shampoo. At this point, "Doctor" Ranko startled the young pair and
grabbed Akane's pet pig, P-chan.
Finally invited to the lab, they saw Ranko bring a muscular man to life.
Ranko introduced this as her creation, Ryouga Horror.
Ranko shrugged off Akane's inquires about her missing pet to go spend some
quality time with Ryouga, emerging later that night to seduce Akane and
Tatewaki.
Her passions enflamed, Akane later seduced Ryouga, not realising that he
was the brain of P-chan in an android body. Then Tatewaki's father showed
up and convinced Ranko that he was on to her plans with his obsession
about pineapples. This so annoyed Ranko that she had Shampoo serve up
P-chan's body for supper.
Things got a bit out of hand and Ranko attempted to reestablish control
with a floor show, but Mousse and Shampoo crashed the party and slew Ranko
and Ryouga.
Dumping Akane and Kuno junior and senior into the cold, Mousse and Shampoo
returned to the planet Transsexual.
The masters of Transsexual, alarmed by the loose ends Mousse and Shampoo
left behind, have sent Ranko's brother Ranma and his panda companion to
tidy things up.
There, you've covered the sources in six paragraphs and are ready to begin
your story.
