I note that everyone disses the roses. Remember, people, those things may
not be that powerful an offensive weapon-- but as a DEFENSIVE one they are
insanely powerful.
They can blow through damn near any magical or physical restraint,
disrupt attacks of almost any level (The Wiseman/Death Phantom's mega beam in
the final eps of SMR was STOPPED by one of those flowers-- sugoi!) and just
plain almost NEVER miss. There's no end of times when a youma or the like
has almost got the drop on Sailor Moon when one of those things distracts it,
breaks the bonds that tie her up, shatter the crystal shell growing over her,
and smash down walls. They'll cause a monster to lose concentration just
long enouh for a nice little senshi dogpile. They may not do as much damage
as a gigantic pink heart or a flaming bow and arrow-- but they are very
powerful in thier own way.
