I hereby challenge this mailing list to run campaigns for Anime characters.
you have exactly one year, i am shopping for a free voting cgi script, which
will be open from midnight to midnight on November 3rd, 2000. [dont say that
that's slightly less than a year, because you're getting an extra day on
29Feb.]
The voting page will be open to the entire internet, and advertised via icq
starting one week beforehand. you are permitted to run your campaign
anywhere you want to, but make sure that you run it primarily on the FFML or
your character will probably not appear on the ballot.
by the way, i expect at least one campaign for Jinnai, and hopefully at
least one for Nabiki. but the rest of you can do better then that
While this is an interesting enough idea, I must point out that this list
is for anime and manga fanfiction. It is not for large-scale meta-projects
such as this. Most of the subscribers are here to read, and occasionally
post, anime and manga fanfiction; not to read dozens of weekly variations
on "Vote Pikachu" or otherwise for an entire year.
The FFML is not the appropriate forum for something like this. Rebeka
Thomas and anyone else interested in participating in this challenge are
welcome to conduct their campaigns elsewhere, but not on the FFML. There
are numerous message board scripts/services that would allow those
interested to watch the progession of the campaign, while freeing those on
the FFML from having to wade through the voluminous amounts of spam a
year-long campaign would produce.
To make it absolutely clear: no political campaigning on the FFML, even if
it is for anime characters.
