up sliding onto Moya.]

[Anime note: anime fans need only read prelude to understand, there are no
anime crossover elements in the prelude. however, in this fanfic, the
sliders (1st-season crew) travel to various sci-fi and anime worlds. anime
crossovers pending ability to come up with explanation how they end up
sliding into tokyo]

[X-files note: Same deal as Anime. it's right next after Startrek, though.]

[Startrek note: if you get hooked after prelude and ep 1, you can get more

[Sliders note: this takes off from slightly the end of the first season,
first landing directly at starfleet command, which for the purposes of this
story is geographically located at the same place as UCal-Berkeley here.]

[Startrek/Sliders note: As a result of the theory employed in "SL-304:The
Guardian," the year in startrek world is 1996, but the timeline is oriented
as if it were 2364. meaning that the eugenics wars were in the 1620s and
etc. (the ST timeline didnt seem to notice the Y2K bug anyway)]

[SCENE: The sliders had just finished giving a presentation about sliding to
the local version of Prof. Arturo's last class of the day, and are ready to
slide.]

Alt-Quinn: So, when do you slide, again?

Quinn: 3.... 2... 1.. NOW. [presses button on timer and the class is
presented with a slew of Sci-fi FX (first season vintage, the very best
vortex ever IMO)]

Alt-Bennish: whoa.

[Order in: Wade, Quinn, Arturo, Rembrandt]

[Sliders 1st season wormhole FX]

[Order out: Arturo, Rembrandt, Wade, Quinn]

Arturo: Would you get off me, you Blistering Idiot?!

[Rembrandt gets off the professor as Quinn helps Wade up.]

Quinn: 53 Hours and change. Lets check this world out, see if it's home.

Rembrandt: I don't think we're home...

[Everyone looks up into the sky to see some shuttlecraft]

[A bunch of guys in yellow pajamas (couldnt resist) appear out of nowhere
and level phasers at the sliders.]

YPJ#1: Who are you and what are you doing at Starfleet Command?

YPJ#2: And what was that gravitational anomaly we picked up? Is it some new
technology the Romulans have?

[Fade to black]

What if you could find brand new worlds right here on earth where anything's
possible? Same planet -- different dimension.
