I'm noticing an increased instance of people using Windows text when they
save after using MS Word to write a fic.  There's a problem with this: not
all of us on this list use Windows.  While the open/close quotes look nice
on a Windows box, they look like accented lowercase O's on anything else;
same goes with apostrophes, which come out as those weird fused AE
characters.  Needless to say, having a fic filled with these characers
makes it very hard to read, and I won't think twice of deleting it.

Being that this is the case, in light of all this, I would like to appeal
to all list members who do this to please, please, PLEASE save in DOS text
(Not Windows text) to eliminate this problem.  Even better would be to use
Wordpad.
