A drug that messes with Chi to that great of an extent? Then Ranma has
just died, or has life threatening health compliations. That's just how
Chi is reported to work. As I said, Ranma is really a -bad- choice for
the tone of the story. >>
Just out of curiosity, why do you assume that the drug messes up chi
itself? All it has to do is make sure the person doesn't use chi blasts --
therefore, it all it really has to do is mess up the person's mind to the
point where they can't form the blast, or maybe causes the person to decide
against using chi blasts. A hallucinogen might do the job...might also make
it a darkfic real quickly, as there's no reason why a case mistaken identity
should doubly insure that chi blasts aren't used... ("Ranma blinked and ran
to the fallen figure. 'Akane?' he asked, cradling her head in his arms. His
only reply was a deafening silence. He shook her a few times, getting more
and more frantic, but it was futile. She was dead.")
