Because of the recent 'songfic' craze, and my utter
boredom, here, for your reading pleasure, is a songfic
called, "Cats 'n the Crystal". This is kind of sad,
and it hints that Usagi had second thoughts about
being Sailor Moon. This is sung like it was written in
Usagi's diary. It is sung to the tune of "Cats in the
Cradle".

I lost my innocence the other day
I'm a senshi now, there's no time to play
Watched as my world quickly fell away
I never asked for this anyway

And I hid all my troubles where no-one could see
Is this really me? Well?

Made new friends just the other day
"We share a common interest," as they like to say
I'm not alone like I was yesterday
They are senshi too, and they are here to stay

But my heart was undecided and I couldn't see
Is this really who I am, though,
Is this who I want to be?

I never asked to be the senshi of the moon
When can I relax and be a normal girl?
It might just happen one day...
But first I've got to save the world

Fought for our lives just the other day
Almost bit the dust as we were blasted away
I lost my friends, but then I heard them say,
"If you just believe then you will find a way,"

And as I won the fight, it occurred to me
This is may be who I am, but
This isn't who I want to be

I woke up late just the other day
Grabbed my books and ran in the usual way
I couldn't think of an excuse to say
But I made the bell, so I was okay

But when Luna said, "Remember," it came back to me
Sailor Moon is who I am, but
Is she who I want to be?

But I remembered that battle, so it occurred to me
She is really who I am, yeah
She is who I need to be
