But everyone else has a right to agree or disagree with you as they see fit.
You do not have the right to be abusive and rude when you they disagree with
you, as you have been during this discussion on OOC-ness. You do not have a
right to dismiss the validity of a differing opinion just because it is
different than yours.

You do not have a right to claim that all fan polls are null and void. You
can BELIEVE they are worthless. You can discount their results. But you
can not force other people to discount them.

You're missing the point. Fan polls are a bit like asking people in Idaho
if they've ever seen a potato in the ground. You don't get good results
if you ask members of the FFML "have you ever written a fanfic?" Of
course everyone will say yes.

The problem is sampling. He's not saying that people don't have a right
to their opinions, he's saying if you ask 10% of fans question X, and 90%
of that 10% says yes, it's not an indication of what the other 90% think.
I would call the FFML a specific subgroup of fans in general and our views
are most likely not indicative of the anime mainstream.

P.S. With respect to claiming fan polls null and void, of course he has
the right to do that. He can do whatever he wants. It's a free country,
after all.
