Hello, FFML.

A few words before the reposting of chapter 1 and the
posting of chapter 2.

It came to light after the posting of Chapter 1 that a pair
of co-authors, Andrew Norris and Kevin D. Hammel, are
working on a fic based on the same story idea, "New Life
1/2", by G.E. Gordon, Jr.

There was apparently some confusion as to who had dibs on
the idea. The other two authors and myself compared notes
and found that our respective stories are wildly different.
The biggest and most important difference is that they are
writing a dramatic work and I'm writing comedy. There may or
may not be parallels in the storylines, but even if there
are, what has gone before should negate any similarities.

When Andrew and Kevin post their work, I engender the
members of the list to give the fic its due and not
entertain any suspicion of coat-tail riding.
