I need somebody who knows BGC real well. I can't seem to get these
questions on any FAQ.

Okay, then.. while the FAQ might be lacking, there are the books
for the BGC role playing game, which are approved of by the owners of BGC,
and use original source material. They can, therefore, be considered
as canon, or close to canon.

1. Has there ever been at any time, in wither the anime, manga, or
merchandise, any reference to instant noodles? Either in mention or in
pictures?

This I can't answer.. sorry. I'll have to rewatch all the episodes.

2. What does GENOM have its fingers into besides military contracts? Do
they have anything in the food or music industry?

Page 90 of the main book. "Genom ... producing 68% of the world's
automobiles and controlling 72% of the planet's food circulation (including
supplies for the orbital stations and bases), as well as financing the
world's
four largest aerospace companies. It owns countless general manufacturing and
heavy industry concerns and is involved in the production of items ranging
from
commercial airliners to medical equipment and toys."

It also owns large numbers of smaller concerns by the simple method of
purchasing 51% of those companies stocks. Many of these are eventually
'folded' into Genom, by closing the company and rehiring all the employees
(at significantly lower salaries, mind you) into a newly founded Genom
division that does exactly the same job and surprise! has just bought the
old buildings and equipment the former company once owned. Cute, no?

Also, Genom's military subdivision produces boomers and other military
equipment for armies world wide and is the single largest producer of
military weapons in the BGC world.

3. Does GENOM use BUMA for light maintenance work (sanitation engineering,
etc.) or do they hire human labour?

Genom uses nothing BUT Buma for such work. They have specialized models
for every job that is either dangerous or dull. They often hire humans to
_supervise_ teams of buma laborers, but that's about it. If it's dangerous,
messy, dull, or just plain shitty, a buma does it. (page 91 of the BGC book.)

4. Is the Imperial Household still functioning in this universe?

On page 143 of the same book, it defines the current (2033 AD) government
of MegaTokyo, and it notes clearly in the first paragraph that it's a
"..parliamentary democracy, led by the Emperor (figurehead), Prime Minister,
and Diet (Parliament)"

It also notes that the Emperor is still firmly on the throne. Mostly
because Genom sees the Emperor as a way of stabilizing the country and that
the throne has so little _real_ power (to their view), that it's not worth
taking from him, and would cause too much bad public relations for too
little potential profit. The game, in Qunicy's opinion, wouldn't be worth
the needed effort. (page 143)

Khyron the Backstabber

I hope these answers helped, Khyron.. and I hope that they
clear up any potential questions any other BGC fan out there might have.

	Take care.
