Quite, quite interesting. :)
I remembered the fic idea of switching the generations around, and
perhaps even saw the beginning of a fic written, but that was a little
while ago.... This is an excellent implementation of the idea, I must say.
Especially how well Rei would fit into Gendou's role. The idea
never occurred to me until now. o.o Now, Touji _would_ make an excellent
hot-headed military man, eh? :)
If other things map out, I think I can see where Asuka's coming
in, though. :D Anyhow, just a couple of nits that I must pick....
colossal, green, vaguely ape-shaped... thing, that towered before her.
Green? I recall Sachiel being black and white, mostly.... Eh, but
it's a minor point. :)

infectious grin, as a relieved sigh escaped Shinji's lips. "We've finally

I do wonder what the significance of 'finding her' is.... o.o
A small frown formed on Rei's lips as the pickup in her ear caught the

second, before breaking into a fit of coughs as the cloying cloud of dust
and ash invaded her lungs.

Looking up from its foot, the second angel scanned the skyline for a
moment, before blink-blinking and giving a mildly distubing claw-fisted
thumbs-up.
Heheh.
Anyhow, as I said, quite an intriguing piece of work. Eagerly
