Tadaima!

I'm back after being gone for nearly two years. I hope some
people still remember me. Anyway, during my absence I was 
able to brainstorm a fanfic idea which I really wanted to do, 
but have no time to do because I'm working on two other 
projects. Regarding this fic idea...

The story is set a few years after all the angels, including Kaoru,
 have come to Tokyo 3. The third impact has been avoided, mainly 
through the efforts of Nerv. The story will be following TV Series 
Continuity... and assumes the previous Eva story ends with the 
"mind boggling" Episode 25 & 26.  Forget about Rebirth and End 
of Evangelion. This fic plans to write an alternative ending to Eva. ^_^

The world has been devastated by the arrival of the angels. Wars
for power broke out and many nations suffered terribly. However,
in the psychotic episodes 25-26, Shinji, was able to achieve 
Instrumentality. He was the first, and he helped a great many
other people achieve the same Instrumentality.

As hinted in Episode 26, humanity has now achieved Gendo's
vision of Instrumentality. Almost the entire human race now
takes advantage of the Instrumentality program. However, such
a thing has brought about drastic changes in human society.
People now live in pocket societies called "Nervals," (a tentative
name) where poeple exist in a unified community where each
individual works to complement each other's weaknesses and
build on each other's strengths. This evolution in humanity and
human society has also brought about a startling awakening:
everyone is now capable of generating a powerful AT Field.

The Eva series have been abandoned. Humanity has achieved
Instrumentality, and sees little need for the cumbersome,
hulking, unpredictable Evas. Moreover, the Eva series only
serve to remind humanity of the 2nd impact and the great
catastrophe which was known as "Tenshi ga Aru Hi."

Although Instrumentality has been achieved, it is still a new
concept and humanity is still trying to come to terms with
it and their devastated world. Indeed, humanity now lives more
like a hive of bees under this new social system. As humanity 
struggles to rebuild its once glorious civilization, a new threat
looms...

For the Gods, they who sent the angels, have come at last.

Notes: This idea takes a different approach to the Human
Complementation Program as it is understood in many
circles on the Net. It also provides an opportunity to answer
questions such as, "What are the angels?" and "Where did
they come from?" I leave it to the ingenuity of however may
want to take this fic up, although I have some ideas of my
own for this.

Anyone want to take this up? The idea is intellectual property
now belonging to the FFML. Do with it as you will. If anyone
does, though, please let me know, I'd be interested in how
it turns out.

One more thing, and send replies for this to me personally,
if ever. Do most of the people on the FFML know about
Rurouni Kenshin? Do you guys write Kenshin fanfics?
