When the Cat's Away

What do Chi Chi and Bulma do when their husbands and children are away
fighting?
Goku and Gohan walked out the door. "Bye, Chi Chi," Goku called back.
"Where are you going?" she questioned.
Gohan decided to answer "We're off to fight another..."
"Well that's nice. Have fun and don't stay out to late," Chi Chi said as
she pushed the two out the door. "If you need me, call on the cellular phone."
"But mom..." Chi Chi slammed the door, cutting Gohan off.
"What was that all about?" asked the confused half Saiya-jin. "Mom never
wants us to fight."
"She probably has a lot of housework to do," his father reassured him.
Gohan shrugged his shoulders and, with that, the two flew off.

Chi Chi picked dialed Bulma's number on the Visophone. "Is the coast
clear?"
"Yeah. I just called Kamesennin. He's on his way," Bulma told her. "Meet
me at my house."
"Okay. I just need to change. Bye."
"Bye." The two hung up.
Chi Chi rushed up the stairs into her room. She pushed open the false wall
in the closet and pulled out her special clothes. Chi Chi changed from her
traditional clothes to skin tight red pants, kung fu shoes, and a red tank
top. A heart was sewn into the back with her and Goku's names sewn in it. She
put her hair into a ponytail and put on an orange headband and orange gloves
with the fingers and thumbs cut off. Chi Chi grabbed her gym bag, rushed back
down stairs, locked the door, and flew to her friend's house leaving a yellow
trail behind her.

Bulma and Kamesennin waited outside the front door of Bulma's house. He
wore what he always wears but Bulma wore a tailored form of Vegeta's
Saiya-jin armor with the shoulder guards removed and the pants cut into
shorts that ran half way down her thigh. Her hair was in a ponytail as well.
"I want to thank you again for training us when the guys go to fight,"
Bulma told Kamesennin.
"No problem," the old man answered. "I've got time to spare."
A flash appeared in the sky and Chi Chi flew towards the two.
"Are you ready?" Chi Chi asked Bulma when she landed.
"You bet," answered Bulma with a smirk on her face.
The group walked down to Bulma's basement. She pulled a jar off of a shelf
and a wall moved, revealing a large gym with titanium walls covered with
pads. Chi Chi and Bulma stretched as Kamesennin prepared the stereo.
"Are you ladies ready?" he asked.
"I was born ready," Chi Chi said smugly.
"Let's go then," Bulma retorted.
The women stood a small distance from each other. The old man explained
the rules. "I want a good, clean fight. "No biting, no eye-gouging, no
crippling or deadly attacks, and no hitting below the belt." He let out a
small chuckle. "Otherwise, anything goes. Bow to me." The ladies bowed to
him. "Bow to each other." They bowed again. "Ready!" The women got into their
stances. Their expression turned serious. "Fight!" Kamesennin stepped away
and Chi Chi and Bulma's battle began. The old man pressed a button on the
stereo and "Jump Around" by Psycho Realm began to play.
Chi Chi let loose a flurry of punches toward Bulma's face. Bulma blocked
them and ducked under her punches. She came back up and sent a reverse kick
into Chi Chi's back. She stumbled but quickly regained her balance. Bulma
jumped into the air and Chi Chi followed her. Bulma kicked at her head three
times but missed. Chi Chi saw an opening and landed a kick in Bulma's
stomach. The attack sent Bulma back. Chi Chi reached behind her back.
"Kamehame-Ha!" She yelled and sent a small ki blast at Bulma. Bulma dodged
the attack and charged at Chi Chi. She grabbed her foot and flung towards a
far wall. Chi Chi hit the wall with her feet and bounded back at Bulma. She
let loose another flurry of punches and added a few kicks. Bulma grabbed Chi
Chi's fist and tossed her to the floor. She leaped up and back-flipped away.
Bulma landed. Chi Chi powered up. Bulma took a second to rest.
"Is that the best you can do?" Bulma taunted.
"You'll see," Chi Chi told her. She gritted her teeth. Her fists started
glowing and she began to hurl ball after ball of energy at her opponent.
Bulma ran around the room and along the walls with the attacks at nipping at
her heels. One came too close and knocked her down. Bulma jumped up and did a
series of flips to avoid getting hit again. Chi Chi finished her assault. She
was tired and both were breathing heavily.
"You're tired already?" said Bulma.
"No."
"Good." Bulma put her hands in front of her. "Kameha-me-ha!" Bulma sent a
blast toward Chi Chi. She put her arms up to shield the blow. The blast
knocked Chi Chi into a wall. She bounced off and fell to the floor. Bulma
walked over to her fallen friend and toed her.
"You're to old for this," She said to Chi Chi.
Chi Chi jumped up. "Old! Old!" Chi Chi grew angry.
"Look what you've done now, Bulma," said Kamesennin.
The smirk on Bulma's face disappeared and fear replaced it.
"How dare," Chi Chi kneed Bulma in the stomach, "you call," she slapped
Bulma, "me," grabbed Bulma's arm, "old!" and tossed her across the room like
a rag doll. Kamesennin caught her. "You've got some nerve you blue-haired
bi..."
"Chi Chi, your bag is ringing," interrupted the old man.
"Hmmm? Oh yeah." Chi Chi took the cellular phone out of the bag. "Hello."
"Hey Chi Chi. What's up?" Goku asked.
"The usual. Are you guys done fighting?"
"Yeah, but we're not coming straight home. We should be back about 11:30.
Bye." Goku hung up the pay phone.
"What? Goku? Goku!" Chi Chi hung up the phone. "That man makes it so easy
to yell at him."
Bulma walked over to Chi Chi clutching her stomach. "Is everything okay?"
"The opponent they fought was weak and they've already finished." Chi Chi
turned around. "Did I hurt you?"
"I'll be fine."
"That's enough for today," said Kamesennin.
"Okay. Same time next week?" asked Chi Chi
"Sure," Bulma told her. "Bye."
"Bye." Chi Chi grabbed her bag and left. As she flew home, she thought
about how she would raise Hell when Goku and Gohan got back.
