El Hazard: Understanding Chapter One

* * * * *

	As night approached the beauty palace that housed the royal members 
of Roshtaria, a female sat in bed, staring out into space.  Every once in 
awhile she would flinch, remember darker times.  Surrounding herself, were 
dozen of lit candles.  

	Alone she waited.  Seeking the company of the one she loved yet to 
proud to go in search of the one.  

	"I'm not afraid," she would repeat over and over, like a mantra.

	Her dark hair hung in a stylish ponytail.  Her eyes were alert and 
her face was so similar to another residing within the walls of the palace 
that had someone not known any better would call them twins.  Trembling, she 
got out of bed.  Walking to the double doors and opening them, she went in 
search of her lover, her soul mate and companion.

	Seeing one of the various guards, she straighten and an air of 
superiority started to emanate from her.  The person that stood in front of 
the guard was so different from the frighten girl beforehand, like night and 
day.  

	"Where is Areere?" she asked the guard.

	Saluting the princess, "She's in her room, your highness," the guard 
answered.

	Nodding her head, Fatora left the guard.  

	Seeing the princess leave, the guard let out a sigh of relief.  The 
youngest of the two princess of Roshtaria was known for her temper.  

	Nearing the royal garden, Fatora slowed down.  She had not realized 
that she was almost practically running.  Entering the green yard, Fatora 
slowly looked around for her lover.  Seeing Areere playing near the pond, 
Fatora smiled.  Later that night, the two embraced and drifted off into a 
peaceful slumber.
