Wow, so if someone on the list makes a false claim about herself, and I

You've made an unsubstantiated claim about another person's credentials,
Gary. That's slander and sounds a hell of a lot like flaming to me.
If you have proof, then I'd suggest you present it. Otherwise, there
was no other reason for you to bring this up other than to vent
some unwarranted enmity towards an absentee poster.

That's certainly an... interesting interpretation of that part of the
FAQ, Prez. I wouldn't have thought that way myself... but then, what do
I know? I'm but a simple, humble soul who's been voted "Best writer of
all time" and "All around coolest guy" in six worldwide polls.

I fail to see how the fact you've earned a number of internet
polling awards has anything to do with the fact that you have committed
an act of slander. I'm quite impressed with your writing; it's
clear, reads easily and carries a large readership. I am not,
however, impressed by your treatment of Hitomi. Are you possibly
under the mistaken impression that the mailing list's collective vote
of confidence in your work has anything to do with the situation
at hand?

And remember, if you dispute any of the above, IT'S A FLAME!

No dispute at all. Just placing it in proper context. I have no
problems with your writing at all, Gary.  I don't need to flame;
after all, you have yet to make a personal attack on me.
