A Moussefic by Mark Ferrer

Disclaimer: These people ain't mine.

Notes: This fic has nothing to do with 'A Different Brand Of Mousse',
which by the way is slowly being written. Oh, and the characters are
probably highly OOC. Also, this hasn't been pre-read. All on the fly.

"Shampoo, I challenge you!" Mousse proclaimed to the nearest wall.
Shampoo stood right behind him smirking.

"Okay Mousse. Right here?" she asked, getting into a fighting stance.

"No." Mousse answered, "Let's go to the open field so that everyone
can see my victory."

At this time, Cologne had walked into the room. She barely stifled a
laugh at the boy talking to the wall. She'd seen it time and time again
but it still looked hilarious. Gaining complete control again, she said,
"This had better be the last Mousse. You've lost to Shampoo many times
before."

Mousse nodded grimly and said, "If I lose, you will never hear from
me again."

The two women nodded to each other and Shampoo said, "I accept."

** ** **

Bonbori and almost every type of weapon clashed during the course of
the fight. Surprisingly, both were being pushed to their limits. The crowd
had gathered for the almost scheduled fight of the week. They were in for
a good show.

Shampoo looked at her bonbori as she held them in a ready stance. It
was showing major wear and tear. Mousse was still as blind as usual but
his style seemed different. It was still Hidden Weapons but it seemed...
different.

Mousse's attempts to ignore his injuries were fading. Under his
robes, he was bruised, bleeding and numb. <no. i can't lose. i must keep
standing.> he thought vainly.

Shampoo must have realized this too because she had started charging
towards him. Mousse knew it was the end when one of her bonbori's sped
past his slow block.

He flew back about five feet before landing face down. No, it
wouldn't end like this.

Shampoo watched as Mousse slowly picked himself up from the ground.
He wouldn't be standing for very much longer, considering the hits he'd
taken.

"Mousse give up, this is the end!" Cologne shouted from the crowd.

Call it fatigue, a growing concussion or pure stubborness that
prompted Mousse to say, "Shampoo... All I ask is a kiss from your soft
lips. If I can't have you, at least give me the illusion that you loved me
once."

Shampoo looked to her great-grandmother. This was new territory. No
response from the old woman. "One kiss and you go away?" she asked.

     Mousse nodded solemnly.

Shampoo dropped her bonbori and walked up to the beaten martial
artist. Seeing as he wasn't going to bend down, she had to tiptoe for
their lips to meet. Shampoo wondered why Mousse just stood there,
unmoving. She broke off the kiss and started to leave. Suddenly, Mousse's
swept her up in his arms. He gave her a kiss of unconditional, desperate
love. His whole being was put into that kiss.

Shampoo couldn't believe the hunger she felt from him. She also
couldn't believe that was starting to kiss him back. Mousse had expected
her to push him away but he didn't expect her to return the kiss. On
another impulse, his tongue entered hers, entwining with her own. Shampoo
was getting lost in the moment. She had always dreamed of getting a
passionate kiss from a man she couldn't never quite make out the face. She
thought it was Ranma, but now...

The crowd was at an absolute stand still. This had never happened
before. What would be the price of kissing an Amazon without their
permission? Most eyes looked to the old crone. Her brows seemed to be
furrowed in thought.

<It seems that I'll have to stop this.> Cologne thought. Instead of
running to the kissing Amazons, she took her time. She had to, it was a
battle after all.

Between the teens making out, a walking stick pryed them apart. Both
were shocked by the sudden release. Mousse stumbled slightly forward while
Shampoo stepped back, her thoughts still in a jumble.

Cologne looked straight into Mousse's eyes and then to Shampoo's
eyes. <Well, it seems to have worked...> "You win Mousse." she said
simply.

End

Author's notes: Where did this come from? Maybe from my English class
studying Romeo and Juliet. Maybe from reading the Zu's 'Sasami gets
Tenchi'. One of my dreams? The latest craze of WAFFy fics on the FFML? The
fact that most people start to stay away from this match up when the get
more into anime? (happened to me) Oh well, it's written. Nothing can be
done now. <looks at watch> Hey, cool, this also marks my first 1 hour fic.

-- Mark Ferrer Mousse looked around at the crowd watching the fight. <So it came down to this huh?> he mused. Ranma was on the ground, still reeling from the hits he had taken. "This is the end Saotome." Mousse said, holding his sword above his opponent's throat. -excerpt from a future chapter of 'A Different Brand Of Mousse'.
