I have one objection. With the Lord's Prayer,
the final 'For thine is the kingdom' line isn't
given in basic Catholic prayer; in the course of
the mass, it is said, though separately, with
several lines in between spoken by the pastor.

This *did* take place during a mass. And when I went to church (I was
raised Catholic), that's how my church said the prayer. Actually, the
prayer was sung, not spoken, but that's another story. :)

Beyond that... Everything was handled beautifully.
Every seminarian or novitiate has to go through
similar crises of faith.

As part of the research for this story, I checked out a book from the
library that was basically a series of interviews with contemporary
American nuns. Some had these crises, some did not. All of them were
very interesting, though; I'd recommend the book to anyone interested in
the Catholic Church's role in modern times.

I was particularly impressed by your handling of the
Abbess; it would have been very easy to make her into
a stereotype, but you chose to go beyond that, and
show the love beyond her imperious demeanor.

Thanks. Her portrayal in the manga is a bit two-dimensional, so I added
just this hint of a third dimension. And I really didn't want to make
her into a demon; my personal experience with nuns has been unfailingly
positive.

Good job, Richard.

Thanks, Nick, and thanks for the C&C.
